Kanban Boards & Custom Workflows

Momentum treats Statuses as Data, not Code. You can define any number of custom statuses (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Code Review, QA, Done) in the Workflows settings.

Board Mechanics

• Dynamic Columns: The Kanban Board view automatically renders a column for every status defined in the Project's assigned Workflow.
• Drag & Drop: Moving a card between columns executes a strict state-machine transition. If a transition is blocked by dependencies (e.g., a "Blocked By" relationship), the UI will prevent the move and alert the user.
• Swimlanes (Coming Soon): Group board items by Assignee, Priority, or Epic.

By adapting workflows, you can build specialized boards for Helpdesk Ticketing, Content Creation pipelines, or Software Engineering.
